Reason Behind The Failure Of Maithili Cinema

Well, there are many reasons behind the failure of Maithili cinema. There are total approx 8 crore population of Maithil and the same population are talking maithili language. It is said that in Bihar there have number 1 population of Maithili people and then after Bhojpuri and other. Most of the people of Northern part of India like, Madhubani, Darbhanga, Sitamadhi, Muzaffarpur , Barauni, Jhanjharpur, Benipatti and many more famous towns and cities are Maithil. Not only in India, despite of these all, there in southern and part of Nepal there has huge number of Maithil population. They are pure Maithil, they belongs to Maithil society and follows Mithila culture.

There are huge number of maithili population in Nepal and India.

Maithili cinema was growing pickly before 2005, but due to sudden raise and development of bhojpuri  film industry , the growth of maithili cinema became slow. Well, this was only a common reason. The main reason was the taste of the people.

It is said that Bhojpuri cinema was full of volgurity at that time. So, bhojpuri film industry take down the maithili cinema and go ahead alone. There was a monopoly of bhojpury cinema. Some researchers says that this was not the exact reason. The reason is different to different according to the different researchers.

According my point of view " Abhijeet Chaudhary " , The following reasons can be behind the failure of Maithili cinema or Maithili film industry.

Illitracy

Most of maithili film makers are illetrate before 2005 and now also. Due to lack of proper education about film making tips ans tricks maithili is failed. Most of the film makers , Directors,Producers, Singers etc. has started their film making career without knowing anything.Some of the film makers even don't know about general techinical terms of scripting,dialouges,angle, shots etc. They don't know where to shoot and where not.They can't fix even a proper location as well. These all things ae happening due to lack of knowledge,idea amd creativity.

Some of the maithili film makers that we can see , they make the cinema like marriage video, even they have all the facilities of lights , camera,location and budget as well. Some makers make their film worst than marriage video. Without having any techinical knowledge about releated field they became the director.

Most of the film makers of the maithili cinema spends their time on false talk, un-truth and un-necessary self impressions. They cast unsual actors and teams in their film. The people who gives money for their film , they will be the lead. Most of the actors and makers of the maithili cinema are freshers and new faces. Before becoming a director or film maker they don't take any filming education in the film institutions or any drama company.They don't want to assist any senoir director to learn.

Most of the maithili film makers spends their time on untruths and false showing. They don't want to learn anything before becoming a director or film maker. They always acting and showing himself as a best maker. so, illitracy are the main and primary reason behind the failure of maithili cinema.

Lack Of Budget And Resources

No body wants to invest their money as producer and financer in maithili cinema. This is not a unknown things, that maithili cinema are not well stand up on their criteria. This is not because of only the lack of education , but it also because of the lack of proper and insufficient budget as well as resources.

Most of maithili film makers use cheap equipments on their film eg. cheap camera, cheap lights, reflector and post production setup as well. This is why because of low budget. Well, there was and there are some smart film makers who proved their fabullaus work in low budget. The film like SINDURAK LAAZ & VIDYAPATI was made on low budget, but it's story was massive and they did their business well.

To make a great film with an epic story, good budget most important.

Budget include:

→ Filming

→ Casting

→ Setup

→ Post productions &

→ Advertisement

Without budget and good resources, maithili film are falling time to time. This is not good thing for the growth of maithili film industry.

Disputes And Lack Of Unity

Disputes are common things in every sectors of cinema either it is bollyood, hollyood, pollyood as well as mollyood. Well, disputes can be divided into two types:

→ Positive disputes

→ Negative disputes

Positive disputes can take a positive changes like new ideas, techonologies, research and innovations. But in context of negative disputes , negative disputes spreds negativity in whole team. Disputes is like a cancer for any firm or any organization.

Disputes are most common things can be seen in maithili cinema. By being on disputes, film makers cannot identify their goals. They cannot make conclusion of anything.

Disputes breaks unity like blood cancer of human cells. Unity is most important factors for achieving goals of the film. A group of people or unity gives the best conclusion than a single one. There is a proverb " You ca break a single piece of stick with your hand simply , but you cannot break a group of sticks ". Maithili film makers are not united with each other. They are happy with the disputes between them , then how can mithila cinema would be developed.

Social Awareness

There is lack of social awareness to the maithili people about maithili cinema. Most of maithili people don't wants to listen maithili songs. They don't want to spend their few free time on watching maithili films and serials. They think that maithili cinema will only spoil their valuable time and money as well. They even don't want to click and search maithili releated things on social media plateforms.

Most of the peoples of mithila are attracted by bhojpuri and hindi cinema. Most of the people are interested to see volguar videos and songs. Many viewers of mithila are attracted by rough songs and cinema. They are not fully awared. Due to lack of social awareness , values, customes the growth of maithili cinema are in backward terms.

Solution

Well, Maithili language is sweet language than other language. Approx total eight crore ot maithil populations. Future market is not bad in investing economy in the fields of maithili cinema. For that maithili film makers should take a good solutions to get rid from the failure of maithili film industry.

Some of the solutions are :

→ Before starting a career in the film production , he/she should take proper education and trainings and the releated fields.

→ Producers and financers should give an opportunities to the young generations and professional maithili film makers by investing a good amount of investments.

→ There should make a unity and throw away the disputes between them and should start a new journey with new innovations and generations with maithili cinema.

→ Maithili film makers should create good and qualitative films to upgrade it's standards.

→ The maker should create their own content and caricatures should stopped.

→ Maker should learn before start.

→ New comers should take formal education as well as trainings in their releated field.

There are many things to do before starting a career in mithila or maithili cinema. The begineers should take an education before start. " Learn before do " principles should be develop.
